Traditional database-resident or agent-based logging solutions are notorious for degrading the performance and stability of production systems. They also require cumbersome and error-prone changes to databases. This can be especially painful in heterogeneous environments, since each database platform requires different configuration changes.

Our Data Security At-the-Switch™ architecture is network-based and database-independent. It works by continuously monitoring a mirrored network stream — via network taps or SPAN ports — and analyzing all database traffic for suspicious or unauthorised activities.

This non-invasive approach has zero impact on database and network performance and does not require any changes to databases or applications.
